Vessel Manager Technical
Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented Vessel Manager Technical who is ready to join our Navigator Gas office in Copenhagen in a position that offers a unique opportunity for career development. The position is for 6 months currently.
Once you are inducted into the company and the role, you will be assigned a number of vessels to manage. Your responsibilities will include ensuring seamless integration between the vessels and the office. You will work closely with the crew on board to deliver safe and efficient operations.
You will be responsible for managing the performance, condition, maintenance, and repairs of your assigned vessels within the budget. This includes inspecting the vessels, developing budgets, and managing dockings and major overhauls. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, as well as our company's high standards.
Moreover, you have a particular focus on safety and environmentally critical equipment, and you do not hesitate to intervene to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Among other interesting tasks, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing safety and emergency equipment conditions, verify certification, and maintain documentation compliance.
- Being an ambassador for our WeCARE safety culture programme.
- Managing technical maintenance, inspections, surveys, repairs and dockings.
- Close follow-up on the vessels’ maintenance ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
- Resolving technical issues on the assigned vessels.
- Close cooperation with the purchasing department on spare parts.
- Ensuring the daily operation of the vessels according to legislation.
- Responsible for the vessels’ budgets.
- Developing into a role where you will have the overall management of the assigned vessels.

We are looking for the following qualifications and competencies:
- Marine Engineer/Dual Officer with excellent results.
- Marine experience as an engineer, preferably from the tanker industry.
- Naval Architect with relevant experience.
- You have thorough insights into safety, quality, and vetting areas.
- You are motivated by a busy environment where priorities are constantly challenged, and innovation is daily business.
- Customer focus and ability to communicate easily with both technical and commercial staff.
- Proficient level of English, as this is our corporate language.
- EU work permit is a requirement.
